Hi there, as you can tell I'm a Sauve.
From what I know, and rumours stories that have been passed down, we know that our family orginates from France, but where and when etc we have no idea. What do know is that in Cornwall Ontario Canada, way way back our records where kept in a church, which was burnt down and all records with it. So what I do know are a few things, that we mainly lived in the Eastern section of Canada and that possible that a family member married a native of North America, possible a Mohawk, but this is one of many rumours handed down generations. I know that my Grandfather was a chef during World War 2 and that he almost got him self shot for punching out a commanding officer, and that he latter married my granmother who is Dutch. Where in Holland my father was born then moved to Canada not long after. Now here we are. I looking all over for information to help out my mother with here side of the family as well but the Sauve is more or less my little project while I boored of working for an ISP. Anyways if any one out here can give us some feedback, would be very greatful.
