I am seeking information on the parents of Wilson Riley Sawyers. He was born in Russellville Ark. 1849 and Died 1929 in Oklahoma. He was married to Mary A. Merriman. She was born in 1859, probably in Galveston Texas. They had at least 4 children Mansel (Mannie), Pruitt, Buster and Mary A. Mansel was my Grandfather. The story in the family is that the Father of Riley Wilson was bushwacked in Russellville Ark. soon after the Civil War. If you could give me any information on the Origin of the family. Daddy said he was Scot-Irish and the Sawyers came to the Carolina's as indentured servants.
