Ok, the proverbial brick wall has a niche in it! I have located a lot of the information on some of the Saxons that lived in Rusk County - my father, Dreeben Case, was the son of Cason Saxon, b.Mar 1853, in the vicinity of Greenville, SC and Anna Laura Henderson, b. Oct 1860 (I still do not have proof of Anna's info). Cason was the son of Jackson Saxon and Martha Shirley. I have been able to locate Jackson and Martha in the 1850 census of Laurens Co., SC as well as what I believe to be Jackson's brother, John P. I have received further information relaying that Jackson and John had brothers named Plug and Lewis Washington, and two sisters named Nancy and Betsy. Apparently this family was from Ireland and Nancy remained in Ireland. I believe Jackson and Martha were buried near Pelzer or Piedmont, both names that have come down to me through cousins. If any of this information rings any bells, would love to hear from you. Thanks to all and good luck on your searches!
