My name is Stephen DePalma, and my great grandmother Rachele Badinelli married Bartolomeo Rebori. I located a Unites States census from 1930 that captures Joseph Sbarbori living with Rachele's Rebori and two of her children Ernesto and John (Domenic), my grandfather. Joseph is listed as her nephew. Please feel free to contact me. I will share any information I have.
Steve_DePalma@yahoo.com

Hi,
Just saw your post, I don't know if this is any help. My great grandfather was called Antonio Sbarbori and was originally from near Parma (Sassoulo I think)and emigrated from Italy to England around 1900, settling in Stoke-on-Trent. He too was an Ice Cream maker and his business was run by the family until 2004. I was told that he had family, possibly a brother who settled in Chester who had an ice cream business. He was killed by a bus in 1929 whilst selling ice cream. My father and aunt know more details.

Joe

I may have a clue. My Great Grandmother and My Great Great Grandmother were sisters their names were Laura and Caterina Sbarori. They were born in Emilla Romagna in maybe the mid 1800s. The reason that they are sisters is because my parents are distant cousins.

Hello,

I was asked by my English wife's family to find the Italian family of their deceased mother.

Her mother was Irene Maria Angela SBARBORI. She had six siblings. Irene's father was Vincent/Vincenzo Sbarbari/Sbarbori born in Italy, possibly the Genoa area in about 1866.

Vincenzo's father was listed as Peter Anthony Sbarbori, a Flour Miller. I think Vincenzo immigrated to England after 1881. Vincenzo married Ada Harrison in 1896. Ada was born in England.

Vincenzo was a confectioner (made and sold ice cream).

The SBARBORI family lived in Chester, England. We think that Vencenzo died about 1918 in Wales.

We believe that Vincenzo's family may have been related to the family of Antonio Sbarbori.

We believe that Vincenzo's family may also been related to the family of John Sbarbori who was also a confectioner and was born in Italy about 1864. John's father was Dominic Sbarbori, a farmer. In 1899 John married Mary Rebori 24 years. Her father was Bartholomew Rebori, a farmer.

John and Mary had at least 1 child, Joseph(John) (Amadeo) SBARBARI.

We would appreciate any help you can offer to find ancestors and information about this family in Italy.

My Best Wishes,

Jerry S.
