John Joseph Scahill II, MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER-John Joseph Scahill II, 50, died Saturday at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a short illness. He was born in Upper Darby, Pa., the son of Thomas and Mary (Rogan) Scahill. He graduated from Portland High School in 1970 and earned a degree in accounting from the University of Maine at Portland, Gorham. Scahill worked as a printer in Portland, Maine, and recently for New Hampshire Bindery in Concord. Survivors include his son, Garrett Scahill of South Portland, maine; a sister, Cordelia Mosher of Manchester; a niece; and many cousins. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Conroy-Tully Funeral Home, 172 State St., Portland, Maine. Services will be held Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress St., Portland, Maine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, Maine 03086.
