Surnames: SCANLAN/ROSS/MCCLINTOCK
Unable to find further info on:
Maurice (Morris) SCANLAN b 1815 Kerry, Ireland, died Glasgow Scotland 1875.
Married Alexandrina ROSS b 1822~
Together they had 5 Children From Census 1861
Lousia born England ~ 1848
Maurice born England ~ 1847
Catherine born England ~ 1946
William born Ireland ~ 1853
Helen born Sutherland Helmsdale ~ 1860
Maurice SCANLAN Senior died in 1875 Glasgow and death records show his parents were Maurice SCANLAN and Helen maiden name unknown. This is where I come to dead end. I am assuming they were also from Ireland and I am unable to find birth records for Maurice SCANLAN b 1815 Kerry Ireland.
If anyone has info it would greatly appreciated. In addition - Descendants of this line has a Alexandrina SCANLAN marrying a William McCLINTOCK in June 1907 Glasgow - they had three children - William, Alexander and John (my grandfather b. 1911).
