Am looking for anyone who has a variation of their surname spelling who would have come from the Alsace Lorraine area or thereabouts around 1790--specifically JOSEPH. This family went thru Vienna, registered, and then moved south through Hungary. At Triebsvetter (I believe) somehow the spelling changed from Jacques to all of the above and maybe other spellings. I am a descendant of a Schagh who eventually came to St Paul, MN via Sask, Canada.
