Clarabelle R. Schaaf, 73, of Muscatine died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.
Graveside services will be at the Fairport Cemetery. Rev. Larry Hill will officiate. Casketbearers will be John Schaaf, Jr., Jason Kleppe, Richard Roush and Robert Roush. Honorary casketbearers will be Cassondra Cottreal, Skylore Kleppe, Colby Kleppe, Emily Wilson, Jesse Wilson and Andy Roush.
Clarabelle Ruby Ricketts was born on March 24, 1933 in Fairport, Iowa the daughter of Gordon E. and Millie E. (Mockmore) Ricketts. On March 31, 1951, Clarabelle was united in marriage to Donald F. Schaaf in Muscatine. Clarabelle was a lifelong resident of the Muscatine area. She was employed at Walgreens Cafeteria for 11 years as a cook and then became a homemaker. She enjoyed camping with her husband and family and baking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Clarabelle will be deeply missed by her son, John Schaaf and his wife, Sandra of Muscatine; two grandchildren, John Schaaf, Jr. and his wife, DaNita of Buffalo, Missouri and Amanda Kleppe and her husband, Jason of Tipton; five great-grandchildren, Cassondra Cottreal, Skylore Kleppe, Colby Kleppe, Emily Wilson, Jesse Wilson; and one brother, Ted Ricketts and his wife, Mary Jane of Fairport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; three brothers; and six sisters.
