Looking for information on the descendents of Lambert Isador Schaefer. Lambert was born Feb. 23, 1885 in Zumbrota, MN to Lambert Schafer and Bernhardine Weinman, and died Dec. 28, 1967 in Red Wing, MN. Lambert Isador married Helen Margaret Schmitz on Oct. 12, 1909 in Bellechester, MN. Helen was born Jan. 30, 1888 in Chester Twp., Wabasha Co., MN and died Jan. 4, 1964 in Red Wing, Goodhue Co., MN. Lambert Isador and Helen had at least 7 children. They were:
Agnes Schaefer (b. ?1911 in MN) married Gordon Knopic on May 2, 1933 in Red Wing, MN. Agnes should have died before Helen did in 1964 as she did not show up in Helen's obituary.
Cecelia Schaefer (b. ?1913 in MN) married Benjamin Robbins (or possibly Robbinson as obituaries switched the last name)in St. Paul, MN. I don't have a marriage date. They may have lived their entire lives in St. Paul or in the surround suburbs.
Marie Schaefer (b. Apr. 5, 1914 in MN, d. July 1995 in Rosamund, Kern Co., CA) married Eugene (Gene) Cuthbert possibly in Rightwood, CA (b. May 12, 1911, d. Dec. 1976 in Rosamund, Kern Co., CA)
Reno Lambert Schaefer (b. Nov. 9, 1917 in Harvey, Wells Co., ND, d. May 2, 1970 in Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA)married Mary Kathryn Welsh on Jan. 29, 1941 in Marshalltown, IA.
Bernadine Schaefer showed up with the family on the 1920 Harvey, Wells Co., ND census at the age of 1 year. She died sometime before 1937 either in MN or ND.
Rosella Schaefer was born aft. 1920 but before 1930, most likely in Harvey, Wells Co., ND. She married Vincent Nugent on May 7, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA. They later moved to Des Plaines, IL according to parents obituaries.
Walter Joseph Schaefer was born Mar. 30, 1923 in Harvey and died May 21, 1937 in Red Wing, Goodhue Co., MN as the result of an auto/bike accident.
I'm also interested in any information on the descendents of Lambert's siblings. The variations of the last names were quite varied in MN -- Schaefer, Schafer, Shaffer, Schaffer, etc. Lambert's other siblings were: Albert L Schafer (Apr. 8, 1876 - 10/14/1953)married Liza Stumpf; Frank Joseph Schafer (Dec. 24, 1877 - ?)married Margaret Gillespie (Feb. 24, 1867 - Feb. 6, 1929 Rochester, MN)and they had at least one daughter named May; Hubert Leo Schafer (my great grandfather) married Elizabeth Ann Giles; Mary C. Schafer (Sept. 23, 1881 - Jan. 9, 1971 Red Wing)married Theodore C. Huneke, they didn't have any children that I know of; Mathilda (Tillie) A. Schafer (Mar. 25, 1883 - Mar. 2, 1928 Red Wing) married George H. Mahoney and they had at least 6 children; Bernard Schafer (Feb. 17, 1889 to Oct. 30, 1937 in Rochester, MN); and Barbara Clara Schafer (Apr. 4, 1891 - Oct. 21, 1959 in Mazeppa, MN) married Nickolas Liffrig and they had at least 10 children.
