Surnames: SCHAUB/SHOOP/WERTS
My gr-gr-grandfather is William SCHAUB. He was born March 20, 1816 in Maryland. He married by gr-gr-grandmother Catherine WERTS on October 4, 1838 in Preble County, Ohio. The certificate says SHOOP/WERLZ. In looking at the 1840 Preble Co. census I found several others listed as SHOOP. If anyone knows anything about the SHOOP/SCHAUB families from Preble Co., Ohio or about William SCHAUB please contact me. Thanks, Beverley Lane
