Louis (or Ludvig) Shauer, b abt 1854, came to the US from Bohemia with his mother Anna Shauer and brothers Emil Shauer (my g-grandfather) and Gustave Shauer in 1868. They settled in Chicago. Louis married Rosa Lewin and they had three sons: Alfred Shauer b 1883 , Leon Shauer b 1888, and Edwin Shauer b 1894. They lived in South Dakota, Michigan, Chicago, and finally ended up in California. Would like to connect with descendants of this family.
