Gustave (also known as George) Shauer, b abt 1855, came to the US from Bohemia with his mother Anna Shauer and brothers Emil Shauer (my g-grandfather) and Louis S. Shauer in 1868. They settled in Chicago. Gus married Eloise? and they had 5 children including George A. Shauer b abt 1883, Clara A. Shauer b.abt 1884, Retta R. Shauer b abt 1891, and Justin O. Shauer b abt 1897. They lived in Chicago IL, Oak Park IL, and finally ended up in Valparaiso, Indiana. Would like to connect with descendants of this family.
