I have no connection with this family. I am combing records and thought I would share. From the St John Evangelische Church in Louisville KY - Louis Schaum born in Friedrichshal, bi Saurbruchen, Rh. Preussen and his wife Catharina geb Wahl born in Berleburg, Westphalen had a child - Friedrich Philipp Schaum on 15 May 1857 and was christened 24 July 1857. Witnesses to the christening seem to be Aug. Schaum, Ph. Schaum and Friedr. Brann.
