Hesse town/village: "Karstenhausen" or "Kestenhausen"
I'm researching Schaumburg ancestors who were born in a town/village alternately listed as either "karstenhausen" or "kestenhausen".
I've searched the internet extensively and have yet to find any German town, modern or old, with a name similar to these.
The town/village referenced shoud be in Hesse, or Kurhessen. Any assistance identifying the current or correct former name of this town would be appreciated. Several Schaumburg's were born there in the early 1800s.
