I would like to contact descendants of Stephen Schertzer, born on 9 Jan 1910 in Birk Rumania (Transylvania). He is my mother's cousin and emigrated as a boy to US to join his mother Maria (surname unknown). I think she died in 1926. I live in Sydney Australia and my mother lives in Austria. Please help if you can - the families lost touch with each other around WWII when my family fled to Austria.

Looking for parents of Emaline SCHERTZER, she was married to John W LANTZ or LENTZ on 4 Sep 1872 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. She was the mother of Ellen Jane, William F, James W, Louisa Alice, Isaac David, Harry Wilson and Samuel Wesley LENTZ/LANTZ.

News paper article

My mother just resently gave me some old news paper articles that she had been keeping, and one is about a waldon Schertzer whos body was found under a tavern in Tell City, Indiana. This must be about 30 to 50 years ago and it has the names of his uncles.If any one wants a copy of it I will e-mail it to you.I dont think we have any connection to this family but my mother was born in Telll City and has some info like this that she does not remember why she kept it.

I Am not related to this family,but my mother gave me a newspaper article from a paper in Perry County Indiana that is about Waldon"s body being found under a tavern.It also says that he had some relitives in the area and give some names.If anyone would like I can e-mail you the article.

Clarence S. Schertzer, 82, of Chula Vista died Nov. 25. He was born in San Diego and was an airplane parts assembler for Rohr Industries. He served in the Navy. Survivors include his sister, Virginia Felix; and brothers, Max, John, William and Harvey Schertzer. Services: 11 a.m. tomorrow, Glen Abbey Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita. I have a photograph identified on the back as Leonard Shurtzer. It is of a clean-shaven young man in his late teens or early 20's, dressed in high, stiff white collar and dark, three-button coat, perhaps taken in the 1920's. There's no indication of the photo gallery on it. I'd like to see this photo (it's about 4" x 6") reunited with a member of the subject's family.

I'm trying to find anything about my elusive Joseph Henry SHERTZER. This is what little I know: According to Ohio census listings, was born in Pennsylvania about 1825. At some point he moved to Ohio. He married Harriet___(?)___. He served in Company A of the 100th Regiment in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. He died in Lucas County, Ohio (probably Perrysburg or the Toledo area). hello, i`m trying to find some imfo about my great grandmother. i think, not sure, that her name became schertzer after she married her husband, who died in ww1. i could be wrong, it could be her maiden name. her daughter is still alive, but refuses to give any imfo on this subject. sophia schertzer was brought to the michigan in the early 70`s to raise myself and my sister. sophia past away about 10 years ago. if anyone has any imfo please let me know. you may e-mail me at, sapphirechristy@aol.com. i am also trying to find my fathers real father...all i have to go on though is his last name, veit. any imfo on that too would be a big help. thanks, christy
