Stephen Schertzer

I would like to contact descendants of Stephen Schertzer, born on 9 Jan 1910 in Birk Rumania (Transylvania). He is my mother's cousin and emigrated as a boy to US to join his mother Maria (surname unknown). I think she died in 1926. I live in Sydney Australia and my mother lives in Austria. Please help if you can - the families lost touch with each other around WWII when my family fled to Austria.

Leonard Shurtzer Photograph

I have a photograph identified on the back as Leonard Shurtzer. It is of a clean-shaven young man in his late teens or early 20's, dressed in high, stiff white collar and dark, three-button coat, perhaps taken in the 1920's. There's no indication of the photo gallery on it. I'd like to see this photo (it's about 4" x 6") reunited with a member of the subject's family.

Joseph Henry Shertzer

I'm trying to find anything about my elusive Joseph Henry SHERTZER. This is what little I know: According to Ohio census listings, was born in Pennsylvania about 1825. At some point he moved to Ohio. He married Harriet___(?)___. He served in Company A of the 100th Regiment in the Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. He died in Lucas County, Ohio (probably Perrysburg or the Toledo area). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Contact me at Lindavec@bigfoot.com. Thanks!
