I am trying to trace my maternal grandmother. She came to Brighton, England in 1936, gave birth to my mother January 1937 and then returned to Switzerland. My mother, who was then adopted, has her adoption file in which it states that Anna 'only came to this country so that her people would not hear of the birth of the child.'

I have no other info on her at all - if anyone can help that would be great - thanks for reading!!

born 1831 in Katzenfurt/Germany
immigratet in 1949 with Ship Schiller to Baltimore - single -

in 1880 Census I have found him
in Allegheny, Pittsburgh, Grocery
his wifes name is Ann, also born in Germany
the Name of his Child is: Louisa, born in 1862

After 1880 Census I haven´t found him and his Family.

Do anyone more about his Family. Thanks so much.

His great-grandfather George Schildroth married Susanna Schild who is also a child of Phillip Ludwig John Bernard Schild II and Dorthea Sophia Budde. My records go back to Phillip Ludwig John Bernard Schild I. I have him married to another Sophia which may or may not be correct as all I have is a first name.
