Hi Anna, Here's some more information on Johannetta Christiana Schaefer, sent to me by another relative who is researching the Kern, Schaefer and Sparwasser families:
Johannetta left Germany on September 22, 1835. She arrived in Sugar Loaf Township, St. Clair County, Illinois, U.S.A. with her husband and three children on January 1, 1836. She and her family settled on a farm near Millstadt, Illinois.
