I've been told much the same thing in regards to the name change but rather some members of my family pronounce it schleicher and namely my great grandparents pronounce it with a less german ring. I also recall being told Kurt was a brother of three of which one emigrated to london, England. I plan on checking that again with my grandfather as i haven't seen anyone else refer to two brothers as of yet.
