Schmidt is like Smith, there are a million of them. I doubt if there is a connection here, but I could not say no for sure. I am just starting to scratch the surface on my Schmidt side. I feel that it is going to take me a long time to unravel that family unless I make a connection with a decendant. I wish you luck in your search. Maybe someone will see a connection & contact you.
