Surnames: Schmitz Minnich Weber Raab
I'd love to make contact with anyone who is descended from Nicholas Schmitz and Catherine Minnich who came from Germany to Ohio. I mostly have information on the family line of their son Stephen but I think they had another son named Anton and daughters named Emma and Anna Sophia. In 1870 they were in Lorain County, Ohio. Stephen married Emma Weber and their sons spread out into Henry County and Paulding County, Ohio and to Michigan and New Mexico. Anna Sophia married Peter Raab and lived in Lorain County, Ohio. The names of the other two children are from census records. I think Nicholas was a stonemason in the sandstone quarries in Amherst, Lorain County, Ohio
