James Schock of 772 E. Railroad St., Monongahela, died suddenly in his home yesterday at 1 p.m. He was 68. Mr. Schock was born Nov. 17, 1914, in West Virginia, a son of the late James and Louise Arrions Schock. He was a retired employee of the Riverside Iron & Metal Co. of Monongahela. Mr. Schock had spent most of his life in the Monongahela area. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army's 45th Division, and was a Protestant by faith. Surviving are his wife, Garnet Heckman Schock, at home; two sons, James Schock, Jr., of North Charleroi and Alan Schock at home; two daughters, Mrs. David (Patricia) Speers of Rostraver Twp. and Mrs. Richard (Jo Ann) Stabough of East Monongahela; seven grandchildren; two brothers, William Schock of Charleroi and Ernest Schock of Clarksburg, W.Va.; and three sisters, Pauline Richison of Clarksburg, W.Va., Louise Walleck of Altoona, Pa., and Rachael Dolinar of Pittsburgh. Mr. Schock was preceded in death by three brothers, Jacob, Adolph, and Henry Schock. Friends will be received at the L.M. Frye Funeral Home, 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
