Schock Roll Call

It has been awhile since any posts and thought this would be a good time to have a roll call both on the Schock message board but also on te Schock mailing list. Since the boards are gatewayed to the mailing list I thought I'd post it here on the boards. Let's everyone participate and see if we can get some matches with other members. Somewhere, there is someone who holds the key to knocking down your brick wall. I want to thank everyone for participating in the past and for doing so now. Don't get discouraged because you don't find someone immediately. I've just recently heard from distant cousins who saw a post which I made about 6 years ago. The key is to hang in there and don't give up. Sarah McCray, Schock message board and Schock mailing list administrator.

Sorry about that. Thanks for the information. I'm really trying to follow the Hiltner/Sloey tree so I'm not sure how far I'll go with Caroline's side of the family. If I do come across something I'll be sure to send it to you. Thanks again for the information.

Hello

It is Schock, not Schark. It is also Caroline, not Carline

They are listed in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Census as Schock, plus I have William Hiltner Civil War pension file and Caroline is lists her maiden name as Schock

Her father John Schock and married a woman named Christina. Besides Caroline, the other children are George, Sophia, Celina, John, Anna (or Emma) and Henry

Hello Alan. I won't go into a lengthy story right now until I'm sure that you will either see this and or be able to answer. I hadn't been using the message boards much but decided to look today and found your mention of a Cordelia Schock and most especially about a photo taken in the late 1800's of her siblings.
To make a long story short for now, suffice it to say that I have a copy of most of a letter written to my grandfather William Isaac Schuck by Alfred (a cousin) in 1905 I believe. He was trying to give Willam a running list of the genealogy of the family as he could remember. Your side of the family is but one of the branches, but I've been very interested in what happened to everyone.
I would so very much appreciate a copy of the picture if possible, and to be able to exchange information on our families.
Thank you so much in advance. Also if postage etc. is needed, do let me know. My e-mail address is: rbtree@charter.net
Rita Alder
