Looking for info on Civil War veteran Frederick Schoffstall who served with the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry.

Schoffstall, Frederick, Pvt Co G; mustered Sep 25, 1861; discharged Jun 29, 1865; born @1820/21; died 1886; a blacksmith from Windsor, York County; 5' 6", brown hair, gray eyes; shot in the right shoulder at Weldon Railroad while on picket duty; badly wounded in the right thigh at the 3rd battle of Winchester; in 1865, lived in Lancaster, Lancaster County; buried in Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

HI!!!!!!!!!

Well, guess what? There are nineteen differant ways, possibly twenty, to spell our last name!!!!!!!!!
I am the sixth great-grandaughter of Peter IM schoffstall. There is a record of their travels from Germany on the ship named "Friendship". They arrived in New York, then in Pennsylvania in 1754. He came with Johannes, his mother and three other siblings. Almost a hundred years later, came two brothers, Henry and Frederick Schaffstall, then another man named Theo Schafstale. Note differant spelling, and yet they are brothers. have much more info, detailed but not complete in a short abstract of the family line. Needs to be updated from 1958 on.....please help.
Any new info would be appreciated, as I am trying to get all I can to develope a web site for the family.

D July 1974 His 2nd wife was Daisy Shoulders and his 1st wife was Rose some body. His children were Edward Schoffstall my father - In - Law Born Nov. 25, 1929 D Aug 4, 1992. Married Virginia Payne Born Sept. 20, 1928 D April 1992. One of Edward's borthers was Darcy Schoffstall Born Dec. 14, 1952 D Apr 1979 Then Edward and Virginia had 2 Girls and 5 Sons. I married Timothy Aaron Schoffstall Born Jan. 16, 1968.

Note: Everyone listed except Edward and Virginia Schooffstall's Kids and my self where born in Terre Haute or near by.

I am looking for the ancesters of lucrecia shoofstall she is my great grandma. i found her in the 1860 census with her family in fountain indiana. her mom and dad were alexander and martha shoofstall. she had a sister margaret who married thurman hamilton. luctecia was married to john paine [jack] mains.she died in montgomery co ky and is buried there.no one in the family knew what any of her familys names were.No one even knew how her name was spelled until my aunt found my grandpa's birth certificate.I could really use some help.

I just found my connection to the Schoffstall family about a month ago and the excitement is building! It's a thrill to find another line.

My connection begins with Susanna Schoffstall (b. abt. 1791) who married Johannes William Welker ( b. January 30, 1786 in Dauphin County, PA).

Names from this line to mine are: Welker - Radel - Ohrendorf - Werline - Nihen.

schoffstall- mattern wedding certificate found in Alabama antique shop

I found a 16 x 20 framed wedding certificate for Earl A Mattern and Florence A Schoffstall in Shamokin, PA dated November 1929. . The Pastors name was __Schneder and the License number is noted a t the bottom. It is in very good condition and if anyone is interested I will be glad to get you more information about it. The price on it was $38.00. It is a beautiful picture.

My Grandfather was Jerome Roy Schoffstall Born in 1915 in Minersville, PA. He married Anna nee Fekette in 1941 In Minersville also, Anna was born in 1920 in Minersville.
Jerome had brothersand sisters named Albert, Born in 1901 Died in 1960.
Luther Born 1903, died in 1981;
Ruth born in 1905, died in 1943;
Robert born in 1908, died in 1967
Henry born in 1910, died in 1912
Blanche was born in 1913 died in 1992
Charles was born and died in 1914
Samuel was born and died in 1917
Their parents were John Franklin Schoffstall Born in April 1879 Died in 1918 in Minersville, PA.
Mom was Sadie Cordelia nee Barton born in 1880 died in 1917 in Minersville, PA
John Franklin Schoffstall's parents were Frank and Ellen nee Schaffer Schoffstall.
Sadie's parents were Henry and Sarah nee Tovey Barton
Any other info would help.

I saw somewhere that an Elizabeth Schoffstall married a Barnhart. 1700-1800's? Does anybody know anything about them? I was hoping to learn more about my relationship to Elizabeth (a very distant relationship I'm sure) and my good friend's relationship to the Barnharts.

My grandfather is Frank born 1874 died 1932, my aunt is Edna Bulla born 1899 died 1979, my aunt Edith Seitz born 1908 died 1949 my aunt Ruby Manusos born 1913 died 1985, my grandmother luella born 1878 died 1940 all buried in Dodge grove cemetary, Matoon, Il my uncle wayne born in 1897 died 1972 Capt USA(Ret) is buried in Orlando, Fla. Mrs. Mary MAXWELL, 23 years old, died yesterday morning at
her home, 1223 Ridge Avenue, Kansas side, after a long illness.
Besides her husband, Wayne N. MAXWELL, an employee of the
Exchange State Bank on the Kansas side, she is survived by an infant
son, her mother, Mrs. Henrietta SHOFSTALL; three sisters, Ruth ,
Hazel, and Gail SHOFSTALL, and a brother, Claud SHOFSTALL,
all of 62 South Valley Street, Kansas side. The funeral will be at the
MAXWELL home at 2 o'clock this afternoon; burial in Mount Hope
Cemetery.

Only birthdate for her is c1832 (1870 census). Burial data in Llewellyn cem, Schuylkill co, c1872/1873 unavailable. Found no newspaper reference on her death. Have copy of marriage cert but found no church record.

Have been looking for more than 10 years. Any advice appreciated.

My dad says that his Uncle Fred Schoffstall used to own two restaurants in Indiana. One was called "The Mixer". Fred's brother, Phillip "Coffee" Schoffstall would come in every morning to drink coffee after running the county street sweeper at night. '30s?

Fred became a preacher. The church pianist had one arm.

Fred used to take care of Demming(?) park where the Schoffstalls had there family reunions.

Seeking info on Mary Ann Schoffstall, wife of Joseph Boyer. She was born 17 March 1840 in Dauphin Co., PA. She died on 30 July 1921 in Oriental, Juniata Co., PA. Strongly suspect she is related to the Schoffstalls, IMschoffstalls of Lykens and/or Berrysburg but not sure which are her parents. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
