Henry Schofield, 1841, South Yorkshire

SCHOFIELD Henry; Sheffield, YKS,ENG; b.1841.
Henry Schofield was born 23 February 1841 at Holt House Farm, Longline, Dore, near Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. His father was David Schofield; his mother was a Laycock - her father was John Laycock, 1780 - 1866 Do you know anything about these people or the previous generation?
Henry emigrated to New Zealand in 1864 in the sailing ship MERMAID. He kept a diary of the voyage. In 1866 he married Mary Cattermole (born 1846, Suffolk), and in 1968 he and his wife went back to England for five years.
I have a photo dated 1872, the earliest one in my possession, of this family. As they returned to New Zealand (1873), their two oldest children died of cholera. The baby survived.
