JOHN F. SCHONERT

This John F. Schonert was born 4 Mar 1853 in Indianapolis, Ind., and died 25 May 1929 in Wellington, Sumner Co., Kansas. He married Kate Miller on 1 Oct 1903 in Wellington, Sumner Co., Kansas. Apparently, he had a sister (name unknown) who married a man named William Milton SASHER. Can anyone identify this sister for me, and tell me what happened to her?

My grandmother was Neoma Mae Schonert. My mother, her daughter is Rosa Lovina Witte Fisk. Neoma married Virgil Taylor Witte. They had my mother Rosa and a son John Witte. My mother is still living but John passed away awhile back Please keep in touch I would like to ask more questions. Right now my husband had open heart surgery a few weeks ago so I am very busy with him but my address is Tonya Parks P.O. Box 301 Snyder Texas. 79550. Thanks Alot

Hi,
My Great-Grandma was Winona Farris Wilson Schonert. I'll have a book that her son Gene made about her that has her family tree in it, so I might get it out and write down some ancestry.
She married Donald Wison, who died, and then married my Great Grandpa, who already had my Grandpa and his sister from his first wife. My Grandpa is Wayne Schonert, who married Myrna Schonert. Wayne has a sister, Marie, who married Clayton Gifford.
My dad is Bruce Schonert, who has 4 brothers. My mom is Deb Schonert (this is her ancestry account which I am borrowing). I am their son.

And, I am from Olney, where the reunions are held. In fact, as of today (Monday, 8/8/05), the reunion is in a couple of Saturdays, on August 23rd.

Tonya....My husband said he did not know if your Henry and his are the same he is going to check with his mother and a cousin and see. Where was your Henry from? Tonya.....I am going to put you intouch with Bob Murdock. He is probably more knowledgable of the Schonert history than anyone I have ever met at the reunions each year. Bob Murdock's email address is murdock.bob@mcleodusa.net. Sometimes he is a little bit slow about getting back to you but he will get back to you. Bob is always working on this so he is in contact with alot of people. Until I get back up to Indiana I can't check all the names for you. I have only recently started putting the Schonert family history into the computer. So almost everything is on paper still. If you would like I could make you a copy of the book when I get back and send it to you. They only print it every ten years. Why I don't know because we have updates every year at the reunions. Hello, Joyce. I suspect that you are likely my mom's cousin's wife. Is Winona your mother-in-law? If so, she is also my great aunt. My grandmother was her sister, LaVerne. I am actually trying to find information on that branch of the family, the Farris connection. Beyond William Farris, the father of Winnona and of LaVerne, I have come up completely empty. My mother suggested that I contact the Olney connection and see if anyone there has any leads that I can follow. On their mother's side, I go back to Maude Runyon, her mother and father Nancy Willie and Samuel Runyon...then nothing. Would you happen to have any leads beyond what I have indicated, or can you suggest anyone that might? Thank you so much for your assistance.
