looking for Schott families in Tx. Dominic and Mary Anna came to US in late 1868, from Wittelsheim, Alsace, Ger, landing in New York, made their way to Tx., traveling through Flatonia and staying in San Antonio a few months before settling in Castroville. Two of their first children, August Rudolph (married Anna Poerner) and Anna Maria (married Theodore Egler) stayed in Ger. 6 month old Caterina (Katherine), my great-grandmother, came with parents. August was sent to US after Schotts were settled. Anna Maria was never sent and raised in Ger. Dominic was born 29 Sept.1835. Died 17 Dec. 1932, in Devine, Tx. His parents were Michel and Elizabeth Nagele or Hagele. I have other info and would be glad to share.
