Surnames: Schouten, Smith, LaDue
Ephraim Schouten (m. Sarah LaDue) was my g-g-g-g-grandfather. We visited his grave near Halfmoon a couple of summers ago. While in upstate New York, we also found his son, William Schouten (m. Hannah Smith), in a small graveyard behind a farmer's house in what was once called Smithtown.
I would love to correspond with anyone who might be able to help me establish Ephraim's ancestry.
