MUSCATINE, IOWA -- Evelyn A. Schultz, 94, of 2421 Lutheran Dr., died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at the Lutheran Homes where she had been a resident for over 13 years.
Graveside services will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Cedar Falls.
A Memorial service will be held at Lutheran Homes. The Rev. Robert Ahlstrom will officiate. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes.
Miss Schultz was born on June 18, 1906, in Grundy County, the daughter of Herman W. and Emma C. Meyer Schultz.
She graduated from the IOWA State Teachers College in 1935. Her teaching career included the Liscomb, Maynard, Grundy Center and Decorah school systems. She started teaching home economics at Muscatine High School in 1939, retiring in 1971.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was very interested in the ministry of the Church.
Having no children of her own, she was extremely fond of her family including her nieces and nephews and their families.
Survivors include a brother, Eugene Schultz of La Canada Flintridge, Calif.; two nephews, Eugene Schultz Jr. of West Lafayette, Ind., and Richard Schultz of Boone; one niece, Nancy Baker of Ventura, Calif.; four great-nieces; and one great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
