DAVENPORT, Iowa - William J. Schultz, Sr., 87, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
Private services to be held. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine with the Runge Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.
He was born Oct. 17, 1912 to George J. and Helen (Pope) Schultz in Muscatine. He married Alberta J. Long on May 17, 1941 in Des Moines. She died July 17, 1998.
He retired in 1980 from Swan Engineering & Machine Co. where he was a tool die estimator. He enjoyed bowling and working in his flowers and vegetable garden. He was a 50-year member of Roosevelt Lodge 626. AF & AM, the Scottish Rites 32, a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Plus 60 Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Memorials can be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, St. John's United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
