Looking for Aunt...mother's first name is Inge

Hi,

I have very little information that I know of her. Her father Melvin Tidwell was an US Army officer stationed over in Germany in Wertheim(sp) during the years 1948-1951. Her mother is Inge Schulze. The relationship they shared produced a child that went by the name of Margaret Doris or Doris Margaret. I know the mother later married and moved over to the US. More than likely her maiden name was changed. I know that they're daughter was raised by her grandparents at the time and she later moved to the US herself. We are not exactly sure if she kept her maiden or was changed by marriage. If anyone has any information or if any of these names here ring a bell I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

*A niece in searching*

Schulze, Gotthilf Louis - from Thuringia Germany - mid-1860's - Colorado?

Hi,

I am looking for Gotthilf Louis Schulze who came to the US around 1865. His brother Rudolf Leberecht followed him in 1866 but later returned to Germany. We have all his ship records etc but none of Gotthilf Louis.
The only info we had was that an inheritance was to be sent to Colorado City, CO (now Colorado Springs?) in later 1860's.
He may have changed his name slightly.
Originally from a small place in Thuringia, called Mennewitz.

Does the name ring any bell?
I am a descendant of the above Rudolf.

If you have any leads or ideas, please mail me at tanjafsu@yahoo.de

Thanks a lot.
Tanja Schulze

Looking for information on the above individual. Married August Schulze and had children John, Jacob, Catherine, Mary and Anna. I believe that August married Henrietta Schwartz after Anna Mary's death but am trying to come up with something concrete to connect the families. Henrietta's obituary lists a daughter as Catherine Teale; however the Catherine Teale I find in census records is born 5 years prior to Henrietta entering the country; this makes me think she is from a previous marriage. Any help making this connection would be appreciated.

I got their names from my g grandfathers papers, Frederick August Schulze. (9 Nov 1835-21 Aug 1893). Frederick A. Schulze arrived in the United States during the Civil War and was immedialtly talked into serving in the Navy. He married Charlotte Dochnahl in Manhatten, NY on 17 Aug 1867. I would like to know if he had any siblings? More data about his parents in Germany, but I speak no German! These families (children of Frederick August Schulze) were brought up and raised in Brooklyn, NY.

PHOTOS: Frank & Irene Schulze and Baby Newell, b. 1909

I have two excellent photos from the above family. One picture is of Frank, Irene, and baby Newell, whom I believe are living in Lomax, Henderson, IL in 1920. The photo is in excellent condition with Frank in a dark suit, Irene in a black dress with white lace collar, upswept hair, a beautiful pin on the neck of her dress, and eyeglasses. The baby is dressed in a white dress. The second is a picture of Newell in a longer white dress obviously older probably around 18 mos - 2 yrs. He's standing on a chair. These photos need to be reunited with a family member. Please contact me if you have an interest in these pictures.

Kathy Wieland
Kathy@craftsbykathy.com

Looking for info on Gottieb's parents, siblings, etc... I don't know what year he was born, maybe around 1860's, in Germany. He married Caroline Christiane Hermann and they have 4 children, ( 1 daughter and 3 sons) in Germany. Their daughter was Wilhelmena Bertha Schulze, born 21 Dec 1887 in Germany. She married Emil August Tode and came to PA/CA in 1925. 2 brothers I have no info on, only that they were ship robbers. They lived onthe Island Hegalong( haven't checked the spelling), belonging to Denmark and waited for ships to come in and ...well.. rob them. Fred Schulze was her other brother who also came to Oakland, California. Fred's wife was Frieda. Hoping someone that might know Gottieb's family or some who knows info or descends from these 2 men that were ship robbers.

Schulze Family

I am doing some research on the branch of the family living in the Washington D.C. area from approximately 1900. My father has little information to go on but my mother, before she died in March 2001, told me the Schulze's from which I descend came from the Chicago area. According to her they were cabinet makers.

My father's name is Charles H. Schulze. His father is Richard Paul Schulze b: 05 Jun 1904 d: Feb 1972. Richard was a patent attorney in Washington D.C. Richard's parents Paul Schulze and Nellie Schulze are burried in Washington D.C.

Paul Schulze had a brother Jacob (possibly Jakob) who lived in the Chicago area. Jacob had a daughter but I can't recall her name. According to my mother Jacob's daughter was Federal employee who worked in Washington D.C., retired and returned to Chicago.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Regards,

Charles H. Schulze

Carl was born in 1842 and died Oct. 7, 1905 or 1906.
My Grandmother's maiden name is Shultz - possibly changed after being in America for a while. Not sure the name of her parents.
If you have any information, please let me know.

Gustav Schulze

I am very new to the Schulze search and am a little overwhelmed with searching German records. Perhaps someone can help. My gggrandfather was Gustav Adolph Schulze--maybe Schulzlein?-- and he was from Halle, Prussia. He was born in 1827 and came to the US around 1860. He married Wilhelminna Hohle (not totally sure of the spelling, may have an umlaut) and they ended up in Duluth, Minnesota. Any one have any leads?

Hello!

I am the G3-grandson of Frederick Schulze and Elizabeth Paton-Painting-Peyton. I'm not clear yet on exactly what her last name was. They married, most likely in NJ, although possibly in Pennsylvania, around 1850.

Frederick died in 1888 in Newark, NJ.

Frederick's parents were Sophia and John Schulze. He had immigrated from Saxony/Germany sometime in the vicinity of 1848. He lived in New Jersey during his time in the US.

Frederick and Elizabeth had the following children:

Henry: born about 1852, never married
Robert: Married Hewilka Renken, no kids
Sophie (my G2-GM): Married Frederick Riepe, she died in 1927
Frances: Married Richard DeGroote, she died in 1899

If any of these names ring any bells or cause any connections to appear to you, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks!

Mike

Schulzes in Norton, Kansas

My father, Jack D.L. Schulze was born in Norton, KS in 1924, and died in 1963. I know very little about those relatives. His father's name was Roy Schulze and grandfather's name was Gottfreid Schulze. There was a Roland, but I'm not sure how he's related. Can anyone fill me on this family's history?

Searching for info on this man, esp info that pertains to his second wf Mrs. Mary (Leff/Lauber/Laubrey) Martin. I am in desperate need of her true maiden name! It seems that they lived both in Crawford Co Ohio (where they were married in 1885), and in NYC, where a daughter was born (in 1885 just a month after their marriage- is this a mistake??) Thanks!

Jodie Shumaker
