I am looking for Theodore Schumaker, who may have changed the spelling of his name to Shoemaker. He lived in Morris, MN. I have not had any luck locating him there. The only information I have on him is from his brother's obituary, that lists brother Theodore living in Morris, MN. Any help would be appreciated.

randy

My mother never knew her father and we know very little about him. This is what I know...
His name was Frederick James Schumaker he was once married (?) to Bessie Padgett and had a girl Bettie Jane born on May 11, 1930. Fredericks father's name was Henry. We were told he fought in World War I in France and use to work at St Louis University. At the time of the marriage to Bessie, it would have been in Missouri or Illnois. If anyone can help me out, it would surely be appreciated. Even though my grandpa has surely passed away, I want him in our family again, in the records and possibly find more relatives to add to my family. Thank you.
Schumaker/Shumaker/ Shoemaker family of Tx 1850+

I am seeking info on this family who came to America 1850 from Germany/Prussia.
These are the various ways their name has shown up on Census and other records.
The earliest name I have is of Dave/David. He is listed in the 1900 Census of Lavaca Co., Tx I believe he was born ca 183?? in Germany.
He had several brothers among them were Charles, August and John I think.
Dave married Anna Pilser/Pilzner
probably ca 1860
Some other surnames connected to the Schumsker name are Bock. Teush, and Greenhaw.
Please e-mail as I don't get to check the message board often.
Thanks
Ferne
fernef@hotmail.com

Philip Schumaker - Bavaria / Montgomery Oneida Co, NY

Researching Philip Schumaker, b. 28 Feb 1823 in Bavaria, Germany; d. abt 1874 in Utica, Oneida Co, NY; m. in Bavaria to Elizabeth, b. 19 Jan 1819 in Bavaria, Germany. This family emigrated to the U.S. abt 1845 or a couple of years thereafter as their eldest son, Jacob, was born in Bavaria. In 1850, the family was known to be in the Town of Palatine, Montgomery Co, NY, but by 1855, they had settled in Utica (6th Ward), Oneida Co, NY.

In addition to son Jacob, Philip Elizabeth Schumaker also had the following children: Adelia/Delia, Peter, George Washington, Johann/John, Catherine, Wern/William. The specific branch I'm chasing relates to their son George Washington Schumaker who married Lovina I. Evans. Am interested in any connected Schumakers, however, will happily share/exchange info if I'm contacted.

Thanks - Pam

PS I've also encountered another Schumaker family living in Utica, NY in the same time frame as that of Philip Elizabeth. This particular family is that of a widow, Elizabeth Schumaker (maiden name Schindler), with children: Elizabeth, John, Mary, Phebe, Caroline, Frederick, Henry perhaps others. Would like to confirm or eliminate this family as relatives of the Schumaker family I'm chasing.

Schumaker Genealogy

I am seeking information on my great great great grandfather Frederick Schumacher. The surname's spelling is not for certain, it is possible it was spelled Schumaker or Shoemaker the spelling often differs. Frederick was born on May 18, 1835 in Wuerttemberg, Germany. He married Anna Maria Klass on December 31, 1866 in Clay Co., Indiana. Together they had eight children: John W., Eliza, Mary, Catharine, Anna Barbara, Christena, Frederick and Ora. Henry Schumacher died on December 29, 1912 in Worthington, Greene Co., Indiana. Anna Maria was born on July 22, 1845 in Zainingen, Schwarzwald, Wuerrtemberg, Germany and she died on October 26, 1913 in Worthington, Greene Co., Indiana. I am seeking Frederick's ancestry, the only clue I have to go on are his parent's names. His father was a Michael Schumacher and his mother was an Elizabeth Hines all other info is unknown. I've hit a roadblock here so any help or info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
RANDY
