Carl Schurz - passenger lists
I'm trying to find a passenger list for the times Carl Schurz went to England, and then came to America.
Part of our family 'history' and legend claims that my ggggrandfather, ggggrandmother, and their son came with him when he left Germany. In fact there was an article in the Sheboygan newspaper during WWI that made this claim (although I realize this may have been war-time 'propoganda', and the owner of the paper was part of our family).
I've never found the family name (Friese) in any passenger list, nor that of Carl (or Karl) Schurz.
The names I'm looking for in particular are George Frederick Friese, his wife Fredericka, and their son August Frederick Friese (who was born in Erfurt Germany in 1844).
Thanks for any help & info.
