PIONEER RESIDENT IS DEAD
Mrs. Catherine Schuster Expires At Home of Her Daughter In Key West
Mrs. Catharine Schuster, aged 85, for forty years a resident of Dubuque county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. Loes at Key West, 3:15 o'clock Saturday afternon. Deceased had been ailing for about six months. She was born in Luxemburg, arriving in this country in 1876 and coming directly to this county. Nine children, Mrs. Anna Loes of Key West, Peter of Jesup, Anton of Beniceville, Mrs. Anton Kemp of Mosalem Township, N.C. of Dubuque, Mrs. M. Fessler of Alexander, S.D., Nicholas of Key West, Mrs. J.P. Wallbig of Ballyclough, and P.J. of Key West mourn her loss. Seventy grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren also survive her. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the home to St. Joseph's church at Key West, with internment at Mt. Olivet.

Additional info: Catharine was born Apr. 2, 1826 in Medingen Luxemburg. Her maiden name was Thill. She came with her husband Auguste and children to the U.S. in 1871. The obit stating 1876 is wrong.
She died Dec. 23, 1911.
Catherine is my gg grandmother. I would like to share information with other Schuster/Thill researchers.
