Have you found any information on Kabos? I too am looking for info on Kabos. My grandmother is burried and connected to to a Hatice Kabos in Samsun, Turkey. The name is believed to be from Hungary. That is all we know so far.

I was researching our roots as we are also related to William Schutte. He came on a boat with his brother. He was the steward and his brother a cook. Yes he married Agatha Mapalua Doiron, who was a from Mary Keao and Alfred Doiron. I found the info at the Kalihi Later Day Saints root place.

Saw your post about Schutte's from Hamilton County. My great-great-grandfather was Joseph Schutte, father of Joseph C. Schutte, father of Henry Schutte, who was my father. All I know is that GGGrandfater Joseph died in Dayton, OH, but death record listed Cincinnati as city in which he lived prior to Dayton. GGgrandfather Joseph, I'm pretty sure, was married to a woman named Gesina (maiden name unknown). They are buried at Calvary Cemetary in Dayton, OH, originally buried at St. Henry cemetery, Dayton but it closed and the people who has money to pay to be moved went to Calvary.

I have searched my family back to my father Robert William Schutte(3-18-1928),his father was Herman Albert Schutte(11-15-1888),died in March 1986,and his father & Mother were Herman C. Schutte or Shutte 1855-1951,and Amelia (Rabenhorst Schutte or Shutte 1859-1953. I think they changed the spelling from Shutte to Schutte when they came from Germany. I have found my great grandmother (Amelia Schutte) parents to be Ferdinand and Albertina Rabenhorst. I am looking for any Info on Herman C. In various papers I have obtained, my gr grandmother has her maiden name spelled 3 different ways. I am researching Bertha (dob 8/6/1865 in Germany) Her death certificate from
1942 lists John Schutt as her father and mother is listed unknown. Bertha ws married to Charles F Rhodes (dob 5/12/1860 in Germany) I may have found his natural papers stating his immig dte to be 11/1883 & natur to be 3/9/1897. Their children were Minnie,Louise,William,Walter,Alice,
Frances, Emily& Edna. I did find them in Cleveland,Ohio
on the 1920 & 1930 census'.

I don't know if this helps much, but I remember my father told me that a group of Schutte's came to the US through Baltimore in the late 1800's. One of the children wasn't allowed into the country because of some condition and was sent back to Europe. As far as we know, that child never tried to return to the US.

I married into the Schutte family, and little research has been done. Unfortunately, my husband's father (Larry Lee Schutte) passed away before we could ask him those hard questions. We are now looking for info on Larry's natural father, Robert K. Schutte, who was probably born in the early 1900s and married Ruth Maley around 1930 in Indiana. He had three sons, but left the family when they were very young. That's as much as we know. I'm sure he has passed away by now, but we don't even know in which state. Please help if you know anything.

Looking for a Mr. SCHUTTE, posssibly a "Planter" or "banker" who would have taken Frederick FRITTS, whose father was washed overboard on a sailing (mit geld), as an indentured servant (1745-1750) in order for Frederick to pay his passage. Any clues are appreciated. Do you know of a SCHUTTE who was of one of these professions or would be in a position to take on a young man of about 15?
