Franklin SCHWAGER, oilmaker, born 1814, PA; probably died before 1860
Married Sarah SCHULER, born 1817, PA, daughter of John and Maria Schuler

Children:
1. John S. SCHWAGER, born 6 Jan 1843; died 5 Mar 1914; married Hannah HAUCK
2. Charles SCHWAGER, born 1848, PA
3. Maria SCHWAGER, born 1851, PA
4. Daniel SCHWAGER, born 1856

Resided: Marlborough Township, Montgomery County, PA from 1850 on.

Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Wilmington, DE - 1800's John & Elizabeth Schwager(Schweiger) Prussia

Am looking for information on John Schwager and wife Elizabeth. From census data, he was born about 1808-1809 in Prussia / (she is a few years older - also of Prussia.)
another census shows birthplace as Bavaria for both John and wife Elizabeth.

They resided in Wilmington, DE at least from about 1860 - to their deaths in the 1890's. (John died in 1893, Elizabeth in 1894.) Unknown when they came into this country - possibly the 1840's?

He is in the Wilmington, DE directories from 1862-1880's - name is spelled several ways - Schweigert, Schwager, Swagger.

They reside with JOhn Bennett (orig. of Germany) & wife Mary Bennett in their later years. I believe Mary probably to have been their granddaughter as she is listed as Mary Nuse, dau of Henry Nuse on her death record, though Mary's marriage record shows Mary "Suager."

Well hey...My name is Franni and Im 15 years old i live in Illinois....My great granpa who is still alive told me that his fathers name was August Ernest Schwager and His grandpas name was also August....And My great granpas name is walter and he has a lot of brothers and sister some i dont know there names but There is Rosa and she is dead...Elvira i think is dead....and Fritz.....and there are more....So if you know anything about them please email me ..... Also they are from Nebraska.........but originated in Prussia i think

Henry Glessner did not go to Preble Co Ohio. He was a furniture maker who lived at Somerset PA and he died in 1813. After his death, Martha may have moved to Berlin, Pa. Do you know their children's names or any other details on this family branch?

Swager was my great-great grandfather, and may be related to Johann Peter Schwager through his grandson William Swagger(b. 1796 in PA). If the information I've already received is correct, Johann Peter Schwager and his wife (Magadena Schwitz) had a son by the name of John (Schwager,Swagger,or Swager - b. 1756 in PA, d. 1822)whose son William (b. 1796 in PA)was the father of John M.
