Anna Niedzwiecki Schwartz, 97,
formerly of East 10th Street, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009 following a brief illness at Forestview Healthcare Center of Springhill in Millcreek Township. She was born on March 7, 1912 in Erie daughter of the late John and Alexandria Ostrowski Niedzwiecki. She worked as a waitress at the Polish Falcons Nest 610 and retired from the East Erie Turners Club. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church and the Rosary Society. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Schwartz in 2005, five sisters, Helen Stolinski, Natalie Pakela, Nellie Mikucki, Mary Ann Niedzwiecki, Genevieve Niedzwiecki and two brothers, Alexander and Louis Niedzwiecki. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Andersen (Daniel) of Erie, two sons, Donald Schwartz (Marjorie) of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Thomas Schwartz (Karen) of Erie, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503, Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 at St. Hedwig Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
