Classification: Query
Surnames: SCOTT, PETTIGREW , MCKNIGHT, Monsanto
I am looking for the Scott Family that are related to the Pettigrew and McKnight families (just to name two) that lived in SC in the late 1700's. Some where between 1782 and 1785 they (The Scott family) moved to Natchez Dist., Miss.
William was born abt 1758? and Died June 9, 1794 in Ala. his wife must have died sometime before 1794 as William married Clara Monta Monsanto (ex-wife of Benjamin Monsanto). There were 4 children born to his first wife, died some time after 1789, where buried unknown. ( maybe Natchez, Miss or Adams or Wilkinson Co., Miss.)
1. Mary Elizabeth Scott b. Oct. 29, 1778 in Prince Edwards Co, Va.
2. William Scott Jr. b. Dec. 7, 1782 in Craven Co., SC
3. Gabriel Scott b. Miss
4. Thomas Scott b. Miss.

If anyone has anything or this family that can help Please contac me.
I will be glad to share.
