Looking for information on cause of death of John T. Scotten who was POW in Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis Mo. Was in the Mo Militia. Died while in captivity 1864-65. Buried in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery as John P. Scotten.

Imagine my surprise to find that "Achison" was really ADDISON Scotten, and that they eventually had NINE children, eight living to adulthood. Addison and Decie were both alive in 1930! Hoping someone knows something about the children... I have these names: Chester R, Spurgeon E, Alma T, Ornice, Dwight, and Hattie.... two more unaccounted for...

I have a Francis Scotten born 1841 St Pancras married Elinor Caltin 1865 St Pancras. Son of Francis Scotten and Sarah Phillips. The last ref I have to him is the 1861 census. Where did they go?

Looking for any information on my husband's great-great grandmother. She married Solomon Sparks in Kent County, Delaware 25 November 1846. She was listed in the Dover Census in 1850, 1860, 1880 with spouse and children. She was in the 1900 and 1910 Census living with children/grandchildren. Would like to know who her parents were.

SHE WAS BORN AROUND 1817-18 IN PIKE CO., OHIO. SHE DIED IN BROWN CO.,KS IN 1890 AND WAS BURIED IN TROY,KS. I AM TRYING TO FIND PARENTS OF BOTH HER AND EZRA WHO WAS BORN IN 1810 IN OH. OR PA. I have just found a relative married to a Scotten and I hope someone can verify this, or at least clear it up.....
Decie L Ward, born Sep 1861, married Achison Scotten abt 1878 in Randolph Co. NC. In 1880, they have their only child, Hattie, and "mother" Lavina Hix with them. Lavina is not Achison's mother, I believe she is Decie's stepmother, and is actually Lavinia E Kivett Craven Ward Hix. In 1900, Lavinia has been married and widowed again, and is "Louvina Brown", living next door to Achison and Decie; she claims to have had one living child, but Decie was NOT her child by birth..... she did not marry Decie's father William Ward until 1866. Any further info on this family? Parents of Achison? Was Lavinia Kivett blood-related to these Scottens?

I am trying to find the parents of Samuel Scotten.(Apr7,1847-May 13,1930) He was married to Amanada Singleton.
He was in the civil war. I have alot of info on that time of his life. He lived in southern Lancaster County. He is burried at Little Britian Presbyterian Church. I know so much but so little. Thanks ahead of time for the help

I am researching the above. i am wanting to see if Emory parents or grandparents are Rev. War . I am a decendant of Emory- Enoch-Clinton, Mae, Clinton, Scarlett.I think that the Scotten or Scotton's are from Md. but have found only in census but not much else. Don't seem to be too many working on this line. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

I have no idea if we are or not but at least there is more Scottens our there. only kidding This is one of my brick walls. I can't find out any thing before Sam. I have his death certificate and it has parents unknown. Its so furstrating. It does seem right that they are related somehow since they are buried in the same cemetary.

What are his birthdate and death date?

My great-grandfather was William S. Scotten who is also buried at Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetary. His father's name was Oscar. Would we somehow be related to Samuel? I've not been able to find out very much about this part of my family.

Eli Willis Scotten,married Sarah Hellyer Morrison, 1-15-1865 at the home of James Scotten. They were the parents of three son's, James N. b.11-9-1865, Eli Willis b.1-13-1868 and Hiram Eugene b. 9-2-1870 in Van Buren Co. Ia. Eli Willis Jr. died 5-25-1917, Hiram d.1-11-1933 and James N.in 1950 ,their father was listed on the census in 1900 as being an inmate at the asylum/poor home in van Buren co. the same census lists his son James as head of house and his wife and son Hiram as living in the same household. I cannot find Eli Willis on any death records or any burial records after the 1900. I found one person who said he died in 1904. Sarah died in 1906 and is buried by her son James and his wife. I can not find Eli. Was he buried in the poor home cemetery? They have no records. Does anyone have any information on this family? please e-mail me at dottiem@lisco.com Thank you

I am a distant Scotten relative, and am looking for some family members that would have come from or passed through Bloomington, Indiana in the mid-1800's.

A Nathan Scotten married an Anna Lorena Kilpatrick somewhere around 1850, I would guess. They had five children - Nora Mildred, Minnie Isabel, Robert Nathan, John Thomas, and Elmer. Would you have any information on these individuals?
