Are you still looking for Anna Scown? Her second husband was Edwin Scouler (1867-1924), who is part of my Scouler family.
Her husband you mention in the census was Jose Ramon Pacheco (seen in census as Jose or Roman or Rowue), son of Ignatio Pacheco and Maria Guadalupe Duarte. I find him in later census with his 1/2 sister, listed as divorced, while Anna is listed as "widow".
In 1870, they are listed as Jose & Marie in the census with Rudolph.
In 1880 they are together with 4 children, but no Rudolph.
in 1889, she is listed (head of house??) in city directory at 729 O'Farrell (Anna M. Pacheco), so my guess is they divorced before that time??
Their children:
Rudolph (b. abt 1869, died before 1880)
Edith St. Clair Pacheco (1871-1958)
Arthur Joseph Pacheco (1873/74/76 - 1947)- multiple dates listed - probably 1873
Inez Pacheco (b abt 1875)
Sarah Pacheco (b. abt 1878)
unknown - Twin of???
Supposedly they had 6 children, including a set of twins. By 1900, only 2 are living - Edith & Arthur.
Edith m1)Mr. Bailey - 2 children: Elma & Theodora
m2) Frank I Valencia - who was related by marriage
Arthur married "Emma" (WWI draft card), but later is listed as single.
****
Ann Marie & Adolphus' mother was Kezia/Kesia/Kesiah, who married George VonHollen. She had several more children, including Amanda, who married Pater Smith. One of Amanda's daughters - Ivy Claire Smith, married Carl Weber - who is also in my family. Another 1/2 sibling is George VonHollen, plus at least one more 1/2 sister.
***********
Adolphus Gustavus Scown married 1) Mrs. Mary Cornell, a native of Ireland and 2) Margaret A. Oliver in 1907.
Adolphus & Anna Marie Scown's father died on the voyage to America.
He was born May 30, 1841.
He was naturalized 6 Nov 1861.
This info comes from transcriptions onthe Marin County website.
