I am looking for information on Lyman Scranton. He was born March 25, 1795 and died March 13, 1882 in Tioga County, PA. He married Elizabeth Cronkite and had a son name Samuel Scranton. I know from a Tioga County, PA Biography that Samuel was born in Schoharie County, NY in 1820. The moved to Tioga Countyy around 1835.

In the census, Lyman gives his birthplace as both CT and MA. In the 1880 census, he gives both his parents as being born in MA. Is there anybody who might be able to help me find the parents of Lyman?

I am also interested in chatting with/comparing notes with any decendants of Lyman.
