My great grandmother is SarahJane Scribner.
Her mother and father Nicholas Hale Scribner(1805,Vermont) and Nancy Baker Younger(Mass) got married in 1832 in Massachusetts and traveled by covered wagon to Eddyville, Mahaska and Wapello Counties,Iowa.
They built a house made of lumber, and opened the Scribner Inn, which had food and lodging for travelers going to the great West. I found the father of Nicholas Hale Scribner. Benjamin Scribner. On family search-but no other info= anyone have any?
