I have been trying to update/correct/clean out my very early research on the Preston family; I am finding that over the years I have collected much contradicting information/sources about who the Mary was that married Wm Preston as his second wife. Does anyone know for sure if it was or was not Mary Seabrook, d/o Robert Seabrook? I have not yet found a will for Robert, so not sure what that would tell us, if anything; is there any documentation/proof that has told us whether this is so or another one of our untrue "legends" that will not go away? Is this going to be an ongoing mystery like so many others when it comes to identifying a wife? Hopefully some Seabrook descendant knows that answer to this - I certainly have not found it in the Preston information nor have I found a good Preston genealogy on line. (I have no libraries where I live, to go to for better sources).
