August Sebastian - Portugal to Hawaii

Looking for information on the August Sebastian family that immigrated from Portugal to Hawaii in 1883 aboard the SS Abergeldie. The family members include August, his wife Luiza, son Manuel, and daughters Emily, Mary and Carry. I believe that the family name was originally Augusto or Augusta, but was changed after arriving in Hawaii. Ship records show Sebastiao Augusta, not August Sebastian. Any help would be appreciated

Charles Edward Sebastian who was LAPD Chief of Police and LA mayor was born in Farmington, Missouri along with most of his family. I've been researching him because my grandmother told me that somewhere along the line he is a cousin of one of my relatives. May be by marriage. I'm trying to find out who. I believe his wife's name may have been Elsie, but I do not know her maiden name and they had a son named Charles also. Anyone with info, it would be greatly appreciated.

My husband was from Iaeger WVA. He was Paul Sebastian Jr, His father was Paul Sebastian, Grandfather William Henry and great grandfather John Sebastian. That is as far as I have been able to trace. His father's siblings were Hobert Henry, Lacey, Ersa Jane, Noranne, Laide Elizabeth, Cecile Blanch, Theodore Roosevelt, William Patrick, Phyllis Grace. His grandmother was Julia Ann Faulkner.

I am the great-great-grandaughter of Peter Sebastian. Does anyone have any information on Peter or his brother George? They were reported to have lived in Carlisle Pa during late 1800s and just before the turn of the century. It has been handed down through the family that George went to Canada. Any information please pass it on. It should also be noted that Peter married a Native American that went to attended the Carlisle Indian School.
