The Thomas and Michael Seery I referred were born in Roscommon & Westmeath and emmigrated to Australia in 1860/61 where they both had large families. In Thomas's will he left land to both his SON John and his BROTHER John.
I cannot establish whether John was actually in Australia or who were Michael and Thomas's siblings (children of Michael Seery and Anne Cowley of Dublin)
I am aware of one James Seery born circa 1830 who also emmigrated to Australia and who was hanged in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1870 for the murder of a chinese man in the Victorian goldfields.
So you see I can fill in detail of two main Seery families in Australia but I am unaware of the movement of the Seery's throughout the US
