Hi Barbara, I am just now reading your reply. I don't know how I overlooked it! Thank you for the info. No, I haven't checked the vital statistics for Amercian Samoa as of yet. What you've told me is a lot more than what I know. I really don't know anything about the name 'Sei' and/or the linguistics of it. It'd be interesting to find out exactly what and/or where the name 'Sei' originates from. Actually, it'd be interesting to know who my paternal grandmother was. I never had the opportunity to meet her. Thank you again Barbara, and if you should know anything else regarding the name 'Sei' and/or 'Mauga' I'd appreciate the info. Thank you, and God Bless.

Lauretta

Sei, Sunema

Requesting any information regarding my paternal grandmother, Sunema Sei. From what I understand, she was born in American Samoa and died there also (date of birth/death are unknown - could be 1880 - 1950?). She married Mauga Leasau (surname unsure). I have been told she has part lineage within the French culture. I would appreciate any information regarding her surname "Sei". Again, any information would be appreciated. Thank you and God Bless!
