Surnames: SEIFERT, ECK, BAUER
I'm looking for Lawrence (Lorenz) & Teresa SEIFERT & family (possibly SEAFERT or SIEFERT?) who may have been in Columbiana county Ohio in the 1830s. Both from Germany, possibly Wurtemberg a/o Baden; not sure whether married back there or over here. According to FamilySearch, they eventually settled in Sarcoxie, Jasper, Missouri. Teresa's maiden name was possibly Schwindaman (or some variant thereof). According to Campbell's History of Henry County Ohio, they came from Medina OH to the Defiance OH area. One of the daughters (Caroline) married Christian BAUER (my gg-grandfather) January 1861 in Henry County OH; they remained in Henry County, in the Holgate / New Bavaria area. Another daughter (Catharine) is shown in FamilySearch as born 30 March 1839 in Liverpool, Columbiana, MO. (As far as i can find, there are no places named Columbiana or Liverpool in Missouri, but there is an East Liverpool, Columbiana county OH.) She married Valentine ECK January 1859 in Defiance OH; they also ended up in Sarcoxie MO. Lawrence & Theresa, son Nicolas, daughter Catharine & husand Valentine are buried in St. Agnes Parish cemetery, in Newton county MO. If anyone has any trace of their passage through Medina county, or earlier travels, please advise.
