MUSCATINE - Ralph 'Pat' Creighton Seitz, 76, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Darrell Wiegand, Dick Garmon, Ed Kautz, Glenn Malone Jr., Larry J. Statts, Tim Truitt, Larry Truitt, and Steve Truitt. The Rev. Bill Moiser of Riverbend Assembly Church will officiate. Organist will be Betty Lincoln and vocalist will be Daniel Cooley Sr.
Burial will be at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Assembly. Mr. Seitz was born on May 8, 1923, in Gladstone, Ill., the son of Sam and Minnie Seitz. He married Velma Irene Cooley, on June 22, 1974, in Aledo, Ill. He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the carpenters union after working for Valley Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Velma; three sons, Jack Seitz of Nebraska, Patrick Seitz of Muscatine and Dick Seitz of Alaska; a stepson, Ken Cooley of Muscatine; two stepdaughters, Pam Giles of Golden, Texas and Connie Curry of Fruitland; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; and 18 step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rachel Moore of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Johnny Seitz, Louis Seitz, Freddie Seitz, Leonard Seitz, and Dave Seitz; and a sister, Dorothy Seitz Delvue.
