There's quite a bit of material on these Seivers. I am related to Lawrence White Seiver - also son of Jacob and Jorretah Lawrence Seiver. How much info do you want? Hans Bernard Seibert came from the Palatinate region in Germany. He came with two cousins, or perhaps more, on the ship Davy - I think in 1740. Those cousins went to Pennsylvania to work and stayed there. Their descendents have a site - I think under seiver or try googling Hans Bernard Seibert. Our ancester did not go to Pennsylvania that we can find, but shows up in the Shenendoah Valley buying land. I think Jacob is the son of Hans Bernard, but would have to check. In the 1800's, Samuel Seibert, a Lutheran Minister in Indiana, compiled a family thing with lists of family and names of villages in Germany.

My line goes - I think without looking - Hans Bernard Seibert, Jacob Seiver, Lawrence White Seiver, Eli Seiver, Eli Marcus Costello Seiver, Agnes Geraldine Seiver (Allen)(my mother)and me.

Let me know if you want me to hunt this stuff up for you - or if you don't find it on the Seibert/Seiver Web site.

Virginia Allen Fenley
lyndaleplace@earthlink.net

Mrs. Julia (Beckwith) Seiver, b.abt 1820, lived Suffolk Co., MA & Wyoming Co., NY

I have an original tintype photograph of “Mrs. Julia Beckwith Seiver”, sealed in a paper folder, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in probably about 1860, and she looks to be about age 40, give or take a few years.

I found in the 1850 census for Wyoming Co., NY that both a Julia Seiver and a few families by the name of Beckwith lived in Attica, NY. Julia was age 29, with daughter, Margaret, age 3, in 1850. Other Ancestry.com research shows that Julia Ann Beckwith was born in Suffolk Co., MA on 7 Jan 1818, so I am sure this is the same lady.

Email me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Julia Ann Beckwith Seiver.
