Thank you for responding to my post.

The family story is that my grandfather had at least one sister, whom I don't believe ever came to the U.S.; and I don't have a first name for her.

Also, I'm told that my grandfather, Josef Sekera, who lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was related to the Sekera family who lived in Chicago and owned a furniture company.

Is any of this familiar to you?

Perhaps Julius Sekera and Aloisia Obrtel are the parents of my great-grandmother.

drkadulski@gmail.com
https://www.facebook.com/DarekKadulski

My great grandmother Elizabeth Sekera (polish: Elżbieta) was born in Přerov (polish: Przerów) 10 October 1810.
She was married in Poland.
Unfortunately, I do not know the names of her parents.
drkadulski@gmail.com

My grandfather Josef Sekera was born in Prerov Aug. 31, 1884. He married Anna Smola. He emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1908. His parents are Julius Sekera and Aloisie Orbtel, both of Prerov. Do you have any information that may link your Joseph to Julius Sekera?
