TIPTON, Iowa - Naomi Mary Sell, 85, Tipton, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.
The Rev. Pat Slater will officiate.
Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Sell was born July 18, 1921, in Lisbon, the daughter of Louis Fredrick and Bertha Hudson Unruh. She married Ralph J. Sell on Feb. 1, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo.
She received her education in country schools.
She was a farmer and member of Olin Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Larry J. Sell of Tipton; and three sisters, Joyce Miller of Mechanicsville and Loraine Rudolph and Delores Truhler, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; eight brothers, Clyde, Clair, Robert, Lawrence, Fay, Ray, Glenn and Henry; and a sister, Maxine Knifen.

ELIZA, Illinois — Daniel Sell, 50, of Eliza, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Paul Brooks will officiate. Casket bearers will be Bill Onken, Leland Ziegenhorn, Brant Sell, Craig Fitchner, Clark Fitchner and Jeff Marston. Honorary casket bearers will be Chris Neeld and Randy Marston. Burial will be at Eliza Creek Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Eliza Community Center.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Providance Baptist Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in his name.
Daniel was born on August 15, 1959, in Muscatine, the son of Robert H. and Myrna F. Buckley Sell. He married Kay L. Noble on October 23, 1977, in Joy, Illinois.
He farmed his entire life. He also did seasonal work with Monsanto and as a crop adjuster for Square Deal and Pro-Ag.
He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Illinois City where he served as both an elder and Sunday School superintendent. He was a past member of the New Boston and Eliza Fire Department.
He enjoyed fishing, good food, sleeping in his chair and most of all spending time with his family.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kay Sell of Eliza, Illinois; his children, Laura E. Duran and husband, Tim, of Wilton, Iowa, Lisa C. Sell of Marion, Iowa, Leanne C. Sell and Logan D. Sell, both of Eliza, Illinois; two grandchildren, Jennie and Tyler; his parents, Robert and Myrna Sell of Aledo, Illinois; a brother, Sam R. Sell and wife, Robin, of Illinois City, Illinois; two sisters, Brenda F. Osborne and husband, Bobby, of Thornton, Colorado, and Annie M. Rector and husband, Scott, of Yellville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily.
